Julie C. Tizzard received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law New Orleans in 1998. After graduation she went on to become a special prosecutor in the New Orleans District Attorney’s Office and was responsible for handling complex high-profile rape and murder cases. Two notable cases are State v. Antoinette Frank (a high profile capital case); and State v. Quatrevingt (the first DNA case in Louisiana). While at the D.A.’s office Ms. Tizzard handled hundreds of appeals in both state and federal court.

Cate L. Bartholemew earned her J.D. at Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1996. She is licensed to practice law in both California and Louisiana.
Prior to law school, Ms. Bartholomew worked as a social worker in the fields of mental retardation and autism. Ms. Bartholomew holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1991.
Ms. Bartholemew left her position as a prominent SEX CRIMES prosecutor for the Parish of Orleans in April of 2009. She has also worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Parish of Calcasieu. During her tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, she served as acting division chief of the juvenile division, and head of the severe child abuse unit.
Ms. Bartholemew also worked as a Senior Attorney with the National District Attorneys Association’s (NDAA) National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse (NCPCA). In this capacity, Ms. Bartholomew oversaw and organized the annual Equal Justice for Children: Investigation and Prosecution of Child Abuse Conference and was part of the three person team responsible for the on-going development of the Finding Words/ Half-a-Nation forensic interviewing program. Ms. Bartholomew traveled across the country speaking on a wide range of child abuse related topics and wrote an article: Bipolar Disorder as an Excuse for Abusing a Child.
